La Jolla Vélo Music

Whose Voice is THAT?

That's my little sister Mimi. If you haven't already, click on the player on the left side of the home page. Mimi inherited my mom's incredible vocal cords. Through her work with David Byrne (of The Talking Heads), Michael Stipe (of REM), Moby, Bryan Eno (of Roxy Music) and others, Mimi made quite a name for herself within the music biz. She started as the lead singer of a band called Hugo Largo (which backed up the Sugar Cubes with Björk at a concert here in San Diego back in "the day"). These three songs are from her solo album called "Soak" and are available for listening and purchase at Amazon (MP3 format) and the iTunes Store. Enjoy!

Recommended Rides: GPS Tracks (Ride Data)
in San Diego & Around the World

San Diego County (Road):

  3. From La Jolla to Pannikin coffee shop in Leucadia (Encinitas) along the coast. (Fairly flat, 32 miles round trip.)

The easiest way to get to Palomar is to just take I15 north to Highway 76 (aka Pala Road), and go east (right) to the base of South Grade Road (33° 17'38" N Lat, 116° 53'59" W Lon).
  5. SDBC Club Ride (See SDBC for details)

  11. Harmony Grove (loop includes Del Dios Hwy & fairly quiet rural road)
  12. Great Western Loop is a popular road bike route in "east county" with a decent amount of climbing in a 40 mile loop. You can park your car in the mall and grab a coffee at Starbucks before you go: 2512 Jamacha Rd, El Cajon, CA 92019.
  13. Campo Loop is also starts from the mall in east county and packs over 7K of climbing in almost 90 miles.
